Pouch Mail Instructions

The Pouch Mail system is a service provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to ensure that letters are delivered safely and efficiently to missionaries around the world.  As such, letters are mailed to the Pouch Mail office where they are collected and then delivered on a weekly basis.  In order to provide this service, there are basic instructions for using the Pouch Mail system.

POUCH MAIL INSTRUCTIONS:

Only postcards or one-page, white, 8 1/2 x 11 letters written on one side of the page (no envelopes) may be sent through the pouch. No photographs.

Lay the letter blank side down. Fold the bottom of the letter about 1/3 of the way up the page and crease. Fold the top of the letter to the bottom of the first fold and crease. Secure the long side with two pieces of tape about one inch in from each end, but do not seal the ends. In the top left corner write your name and complete return address. Affix first class postage in the top right corner. In the middle write the Pouch Mail Address (displayed below).
